Terms of Use
These are the ground rules for using Rewire. We've kept them in plain language on purpose — no legal jargon, just what you need to know.
Overview
Rewire is a faith-based app that helps men quit porn and walk in freedom, one day at a time. It's built for men who are serious about change and want a brotherhood to walk it out with. By using Rewire, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app.
Rewire is a tool to support your walk toward freedom — it isn't a replacement for professional counseling, medical care, or mental health treatment. If you're in crisis or need professional help, please reach out to a licensed professional.
License to Use Rewire
You own your data — your prayers, streaks, and journal entries belong to you, not us. In return, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Rewire on your own devices, for your own personal use. You may not resell, redistribute, or repurpose the app or its content without our permission.
Acceptable Use
Rewire is a faith-based community, and we expect everyone to treat it that way. When you use the app, or interact with other men through Rewire (including in Discord or any accountability features), you agree not to:
- Use hate speech, harassment, or abusive language toward anyone.
- Engage in illegal activity of any kind.
- Impersonate someone else or misrepresent who you are.
- Share pornographic, exploitative, or otherwise harmful content.
- Try to hack, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the app.
- Use the app or community for spam, solicitation, or self-promotion unrelated to the mission.
Keep it respectful and keep it faith-aligned. We're here to build men up, not tear each other down.
Content Ownership
Anything personal you create in Rewire — prayers, journal entries, streaks, notes — belongs to you. We don't claim ownership of your content, and we don't sell it. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle your data.
Disclaimers
Rewire is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will always be free of bugs, downtime, or errors. Rewire is not a medical device and does not provide medical or mental health treatment. It is a tool to support your journey, not a substitute for professional help.
Limitations of Liability
We're not responsible for:
- Decisions you make based on content in the app or community.
- Outcomes related to your recovery, relationships, or wellbeing — this is your journey, and we're here to support it, not guarantee it.
- Content posted by other users, including in Discord or any community features.
- Loss of data due to device failure, uninstalling the app, or events outside our control.
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability to you for any claim related to Rewire is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the past twelve months.
Your Responsibilities
- Keep your account and login information secure.
- Use the app for its intended purpose — personal growth and freedom from porn.
- Don't misuse, exploit, or attempt to circumvent the app's features.
- Be honest and respectful with yourself and others in the community.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, misuse the app, or harm the community — including harassment, hate speech, or illegal activity. We don't take this lightly, but we'll act to protect the brotherhood when it's necessary.
You can stop using Rewire and delete your account at any time.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time as the app grows. If we make a meaningful change, we'll do our best to let you know — through the app or on this page. Continuing to use Rewire after an update means you accept the revised terms.
